 FAQ

When is the park open?

The park is open daily between sunrise and sunset.

Is there an entrance fee?

Visiting the park is free and everyone is welcome! Visitor donations support the park and ongoing conservation projects. HSB Park, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) organization, and your donation is tax deductible.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are welcome. Help us protect the park by keeping dogs on a leash and on marked trails at all times. Dogs can destroy sensitive vegetation and habitats and disturb wildlife, and may be injured or bitten by snakes if off the trails.

Pet waste stations are provided. Please bag and dispose of all pet waste.

Where do I park?

Please park in the parking lot in designated parking spaces.

Can I bring my bicycle / golf cart / four wheeler / horse?

Trails are for pedestrians only. No bicycles, golf carts, four wheelers, horses, skateboards, etc., on the trails. You may park and lock bicycles at the bicycle racks in the parking area.

Can I feed / pet the wildlife?

Please don’t disturb or feed the wildlife. Wild animals have specialized diets, and human food is harmful to them. While most wild animals will avoid contact with people, they can carry diseases and may attack when injured, threatened, or protecting their young. Please respect all animals and their habitat, and observe them at a safe distance.

Is there drinking water at the park?

A water fountain for people and pets is located at the trailhead. Remember to bring your refillable water bottle.

Is smoking allowed at the park?

To prevent wildfires and reduce litter, our park is a smoke-free environment.

How can I support the park?

Thank you for your support! Horseshoe Bay Nature Park relies on the generosity of friends and donors to maintain the park and continue ongoing conservation efforts.
